Two dominant guards in Teelan Kjerstad and Kole Hermann are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wall Eagles will face off against the Kadoka Kougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wall will be strutting in after a win while Kadoka will be coming in after a defeat.
Wall is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Belle Fourche: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Broncs out of the water with a 72-39 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Wall can attribute much of their success to Jace Mohr, who posted eight points along with six steals and five assists, and Emmet Dinger, who shot 44% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most steals Mohr has posted since back in March of 2025. Mitch Moser also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.
Wall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Kadoka's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lyman.
Wall will need to focus on slowing down Karson Eisenbraun, one of several Kadoka players who made an impact when they last played. He put up six points along with nine assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Running Enemy, who had nine points.
Wall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points over those games. As for Kadoka, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wall has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Kadoka struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Wall strolled past Kadoka in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 by a score of 70-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
