Chassell has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Dollar Bay Bays at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 59 points the game before, Chassell were a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-21 loss at the hands of Calumet. Chassell has struggled against the Copper Kings recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Dollar Bay was the victim of a tough 47-25 loss at the hands of the Jets on Friday.
Dollar Bay's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Evelyn Moilanen, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Kiera Isaacson who scored two points along with two steals. Moilanen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Chassell's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Dollar Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Chassell came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bays in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 42-39. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dollar Bay's Adelyn Swain, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Chassell still be able to contain Swain? There's only one way to find out.
