With a playoff game on the line, the Frontenac Raiders rose to the challenge on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Burlington 15-12. The victory was familiar territory for Frontenac who now have nine in a row.
Burlington's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zane Hoback, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Hunter Reiling, who threw for 200 yards on 14 of 25 attempts.
Frontenac's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Frontenac will square off against Holton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
