Heritage Christian School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Reid, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Reid, who went 7 for 12 en route to 14 points and seven boards.
The win got Gateway back to even at 10-10. As for Heritage Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway and Eau Gallie will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Heritage Christian School, they will square off against Christian Learning Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season.
