Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ferndale). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 76-46 victory over the Hoopa Valley Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted since January 30, 2024.

Ferndale was led to victory by Tinnley Pidgeon and Michaela Ellsmore. Pidgeon posted 29 points, while Ellsmore scored 19 points. Those 29 points gave Pidgeon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Regli, who put up six points.

Ferndale picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 11-6. As for Hoopa Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferndale will venture away from home to take on Laytonville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hoopa Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Bernard's at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
