Fox Creek relied on the efforts of Chorsheak White, who scored 14 points, and Connor Cannon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Justin Vining, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 16 to 4 on the offensive boards, a fact Silver Bluff proved on Tuesday. They slipped by Pelion 39-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Silver Bluff.
Silver Bluff can attribute much of their success to Deshawn Wells, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon Eason, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Fox Creek has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Silver Bluff, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Fox Creek have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 39% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Silver Bluff struggles in that department as they've made 39.4% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Fox Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Silver Bluff in their previous matchup on January 8th, but they still walked away with a 67-61 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fox Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
