Estes Park is 2-8 against the Beetdiggers since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Estes Park Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Brush Beetdiggers at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Estes Park was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-56 to the Wolverines. Estes Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jose Gonzales put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 19 points. Hayden Powell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Brush had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Wellington with a sharp 61-37 win on Friday. The victory was just what Brush needed coming off of a 85-43 defeat in their prior contest.
Estes Park has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Brush, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
Things could have been worse for Estes Park, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-49 loss to the Beetdiggers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Estes Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
