The Shea Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chariho Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Shea comes in on seven and Chariho on five.
Last Thursday, Shea faced Mount St. Charles Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Shea came out on top against Mount St. Charles Academy by a score of 58-47.
Meanwhile, Chariho didn't have too much trouble with Prout on the road on Monday as they won 46-28. Given Chariho's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Prout is ranked 35th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shea's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Chariho, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Things could have been worse for Shea, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-33 loss to Chariho when the teams last played back in December of 2022.
