Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Smith, who picked up 128 receiving yards. Noah Shelton handled things on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Rhett Franklin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 157 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 81 receiving yards and one score. He is becoming a predictor of Melba's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't).
