The Southmont Mounties will venture away from home to take on the Lebanon Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southmont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Lebanon likes a good challenge.
Last Saturday, Southmont beat Crawfordsville 56-44.

It was another big night for Vince Reimondo, who posted 12 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Aaron Mcmasters, who put up ten points.
Southmont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lebanon). They put the hurt on Covington with a sharp 71-51 victory on Saturday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Southmont better keep an eye on Kaden Lark. He was instrumental in Lebanon's win, going 11 of 15 on his way to 28 points along with seven assists and three steals. Bryce Jones was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 15 points.
Lebanon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Southmont, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southmont has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Southmont lost to Lebanon on the road by a decisive 58-44 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lark, who went 12 of 14 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds. Now that Southmont knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
