Baseball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Has No Trouble Against Rangeview

Vista PEAK Prep was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rangeview on Tuesday. The Bison blew past the Raiders 18-4. The Bison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Vista PEAK Prep got a massive performance out of Eric Houser, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those three hits gave Houser a new career-high. Evan Kelly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Vista PEAK Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rangeview only posted an OBP of .292.

Vista PEAK Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Rangeview, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vista PEAK Prep will head out to square off against Eaglecrest at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rangeview, they will venture away from home to face off against Alameda at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
