Baseball Recap: Carlyle Wins Going Away Against Mulberry Grove

Carlyle won the last time they faced Mulberry Grove and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians put the hurt on the Mulberry Grove Aces with a sharp 19-4 victory. That's two games straight that the Indians/Lady Indians have won by exactly 15 runs.

Carlyle let Jacob Ruscher and Hayden Huels run wild. Ruscher went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Huels scored three runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Bennett Snyder, who scored four runs.

Carlyle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mulberry Grove only posted an OBP of .435.

The win made it two in a row for Carlyle and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlyle is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Odin/Patoka/Sandoval at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mulberry Grove, they are taking a road trip to take on Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
