After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Ambrose School, the Riverstone International Otters were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 68-26 victory over Greenleaf Friends Academy. With that win, Riverstone International brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Among those leading the charge was Jason Koval, who scored 23 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Riverstone International's points. Another player making a difference was Amer Sangha, who scored 8 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
The victory got Riverstone International back to even at 1-1. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverstone International's road trip will continue as they head out to face Compass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Greenleaf Friends Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
