The Atlantic Christian Sharks will face off against the Palm Beach Lakes Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
Atlantic Christian blew Glades Day out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Glades Day got their revenge. The Sharks fell just short of the Gators by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Sharks have suffered since April 4, 2024.
Landon Moffitt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Micah Herring was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Atlantic Christian is 4-1 when Herring posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adon Herring, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Lakes made easy work of Sheridan Hills Christian on Friday and carried off a 20-3 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.
Kaiden Edwards was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Zavier Mendonca was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gabriel Hall was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4.
Palm Beach Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheridan Hills Christian only posted an OBP of .476.
Atlantic Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Atlantic Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palm Beach Lakes struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Atlantic Christian's way against Palm Beach Lakes in their previous meeting back in March, as Atlantic Christian made off with a 16-5 win. Do the Sharks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
