The West Feliciana Saints pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-55 to University Lab. West Feliciana was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as University Lab apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
West Feliciana lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Arieonia Ebbs, who scored 16 points. Ebbs scored a full 29.1% of West Feliciana's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh London, who scored 14 points.
West Feliciana has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for University Lab, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Feliciana will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Windermere Prep at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. University Lab will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Family Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
