The Cathedral Prep Ramblers will take on the Girard Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Cathedral Prep's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Conneaut Area 12-0. The win continues a trend for the Ramblers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.
Morgan Madura made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Cate Bennett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.

Girard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cathedral Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Girard, though, as they've been averaging 11.1 hits. Given Cathedral Prep's sizable advantage in that area, the Yellowjackets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Cathedral Prep took their win against Girard in their previous matchup on April 9th by a conclusive 12-2 score. Will the Ramblers repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
