The home team had won the previous five meetings between Hawthorne and Lawndale, and Hawthorne kept the tradition alive. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Cardinals on Tuesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by eight runs or more this season.

Hawthorne's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Lawndale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
