The Frazier Commodores will face off against the Mapletown Maples at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Frazier will be strutting in after a victory while Mapletown will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, everything went Frazier's way against Southmoreland as Frazier made off with an 11-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Scotties: they've now won four in a row.
Brant Alekson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Fulmer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Bachinski, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Frazier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southmoreland only posted an OBP of .333.
Mapletown had taken Turkeyfoot Valley Area down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. Mapletown fell just short of Turkeyfoot Valley Area by a score of 10-8.
Ashtin Nesselroad was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Nesselroad was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Nesselroad wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Walker, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another was Carson Vanata, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Mapletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Frazier, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
