The Higbee Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Braymer Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Higbee will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Higbee gave their fans yet another huge win on January 2nd. They blew past Tina-Avalon 80-29 at home. Given Higbee's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Tina-Avalon is ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Braymer beat Hale 63-51 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Braymer.
Braymer got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Shoe out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Shoe scored 15 or more points. Dakota Brandon was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five steals.
Higbee's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Braymer, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Higbee strolled past Braymer in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 68-54. Will Higbee repeat their success, or does Braymer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
