The Gamble Montessori Gators won the last time they faced the Lockland Panthers, and things went their way on Monday too. Gamble Montessori simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lockland 57-27 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gamble Montessori.
Despite the loss, Lockland still got an impressive performance from Jaylah Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. Smith scored a full 37% of Lockland's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Harris, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lockland were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Gamble Montessori's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lockland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Gamble Montessori will be home for the holidays to greet School for Creative Performing Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockland will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Shroder Paideia Academy at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th.
