On Friday Burke will take on Philip Simmons at 7:30 PM. Burke are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Burke brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They managed a somewhat close 36-31 win over North Charleston. Maybe the Burke offense has finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance is a 180-degree turn from their last 3 games.
Meanwhile, the match between Philip Simmons and Garrett Academy Tech last Friday was not a total blowout, but with Philip Simmons falling 26-45, it was darn close. This makes it the second loss in a row for Philip Simmons.
Burke's victory lifted them to 4-5 while Philip Simmons's defeat dropped them down to 2-7. We'll see if Burke's success rolls on or if Philip Simmons are able to steal their positive momentum.
