Calvary Christian found their leader in underclassman Makayla Elizabeth reed, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Elizabeth reed has scored at least a third of Calvary Christian's points.
The win got Calvary Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Southland Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Calvary Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ballard Christian at 6:00 p.m. As for Southland Academy, Southland Academy and Deerfield-Windsor will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Deerfield-Windsor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southland Academy in Georgia (Deerfield-Windsor is ranked 65th, while Southland Academy is ranked 315th).
