Wilme Mas Sarda posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

Mas Sarda's strong effort led Union City over Bayonne and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Soaring Eagles have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since May of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
