Joey Alvarez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
