The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics won the last time they faced the Houston Hurricanes, and things went their way on Friday too. Lyle/Pacelli enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over Houston. Lyle/Pacelli's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Olson, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Morgan Rohweder was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lyle/Pacelli and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Houston, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyle/Pacelli will challenge Kenyon-Wanamingo at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Minnesota (Kenyon-Wanamingo is ranked 50th, while Lyle/Pacelli is ranked 27th). As for Houston, they will head out on the road to face off against Independence/Gilmanton at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
