3A Sunset recap Oct. 9, 2012
Austin Arrant and Tristan Dixon provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Glide. The connection went for 52 yards, the longest such play in 3A Sunset this season.
Coquille's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Arrant threw for 123 and one touchdown and Dixon had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Sye Yates chipped in 104 yards. Larry Bowen helped Coquille's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.
Coquille's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Arrant has thrown for 182 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Bowen has five catches for 94 yards. Yates leads the league in rushing with 372 yards.
The Red Devils led the league in scoring this week after putting up 29 points on the Wildcats. Arrant ran for 17 yards in the win.
