The Hersey Huskies will head out to take on the Hampshire Whip-Purs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hersey is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
In Friday's Canine Competition, Hersey came out on top. They took their match against Niles West on Friday 5-1.

Riley Blackwell tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Diego Garcia was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Bennett McNeill, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Hersey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hampshire hadn't done well against Jacobs recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Whip-Purs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Golden Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Whip-Purs.
Joseph Rodriguez looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ari Fivelson was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Lucas Mazur was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Hersey's record now sits at 9-0-1. As for Hampshire, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Hersey has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Hampshire struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
