The Revere Minutemen are taking a road trip to face off against the Norton Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Revere put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Barberton an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Minutemen, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ashley Gardner made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Paige Kelley was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexa Kelley, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Meanwhile, Norton gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Woodridge 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.
Norton let Addison Calo and Chloe Womble run wild. Calo went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI, while Womble went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Harris, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Norton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodridge only posted an OBP of .250.
Revere has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Norton, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-1.
Revere's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's match. The Minutemen have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Norton, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Revere continue to outrun the ball?
Revere skirted past Norton 8-7 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Minutemen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
