The Tri-State Christian Huskies kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by Faith Christian on the road and fell 70-37. Tri-State Christian lost against Faith Christian in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 64-39 score last time.
Nick Vannorsdel and Will Cunningham certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Vannorsdel scored 14 points along with 5 steals, while Cunningham scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Tri-State Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Faith Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will square off against Morning Star Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Morning Star Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
