Marlington has gone 9-0-1 against Carrollton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Dukes will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Marlington made easy work of Alliance and carried off a 15-1 victory. The Dukes haven't had any issues with the Aviators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lydia Duncan looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chelsea Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Walder, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Marlington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alliance only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carrollton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over East Liverpool on Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Warriors' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Reagan Schneiders looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Paityn Crank was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Laiken Spilker was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Marlington's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Carrollton, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
Marlington took their victory against Carrollton in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Dukes repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
