The Trinity Shamrocks will challenge the Brown Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Brown will be up against a hot Trinity squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 17. The Shamrocks never let Kentucky Country Day get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Monday.
Meanwhile, Brown hadn't done well against Francis Parker recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Wyverns. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Wyverns on their field since March 26, 2025.
Quinn Gallagher and Oscar Wright made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Gallagher tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wright struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Gallagher got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI, while Wright got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. What's more, Wright posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March.
In other batting news, James Linden was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Gutierrez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Francis Parker only posted an OBP of .231.
Brown's victory bumped their record up to 13-6-1. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 34-3.
