Cardinal O'Hara is a perfect 5-0 against Little Flower Catholic for Girls since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will host Little Flower Catholic for Girls at 3:45 p.m. Cardinal O'Hara will be strutting in after a victory while Little Flower Catholic for Girls will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Cardinal O'Hara got the win against Nazareth Academy by a conclusive 10-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Hayden Sissons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Dill, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Hayden Reale, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Dill wasn't the only one making solid contact: Cardinal O'Hara kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nazareth Academy only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Little Flower Catholic for Girls came up short against Archbishop Ryan on Thursday and fell 9-5. Little Flower Catholic for Girls has struggled against Archbishop Ryan recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Little Flower Catholic for Girls saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Migatz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Sophia Pacell was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
Cardinal O'Hara now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Little Flower Catholic for Girls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Cardinal O'Hara came out on top in a nail-biter against Little Flower Catholic for Girls when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 5-4.
