Shenandoah Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Nativity BVM on Wednesday. The Blue Devils blew past the Green Wave 11-1. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Brayden Maksimik and Landon Monaghan did most of the damage at the plate: Maksimik scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Monaghan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Maksimik has become a key player for Shenandoah Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Haden Kechula, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Shenandoah Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nativity BVM only posted an OBP of .333.

Shenandoah Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Nativity BVM, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Shenandoah Valley will host Minersville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nativity BVM, they will head out on the road to square off against Panther Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
