Imbler extended the longest winning streak in 1A Special District 4 (8 Man) this week by beating Cove, 68-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Panthers.
Powder Valley led the league in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on Wallowa.
Imbler's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Johnson threw for 112 and four touchdowns and Casey Robertson had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Joe Griffin chipped in 171 yards. Garrett Bigej helped Imbler's passing attack out by catching one ball for 50 yards.
Imbler's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 967 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Robertson has 20 catches for 546 yards. Griffin leads the league in rushing with 1158 yards.
A big matchup in 1A Special District 4 (8 Man) this week will be when the Leopards take on the Cougars. At the moment, Cove is in second, while Wallowa is in fifth.
