Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn were the 42-34 winner over the Dwight Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn was the victim of a tough 58-34 defeat at the hands of Dwight on Monday.
Dwight found their leader in underclassman Ryan Bean, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Chambers, who scored 11 points.
Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dwight, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. As for Dwight, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-Point at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Tri-Point is ranked 489th, while Dwight is ranked 513th).
