Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Licking Heights). They blew past the Newark Catholic Green Wave 73-30 on Wednesday. With the Hornets ahead 37-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxon Holman, who posted seven points and five rebounds. Owen Przymierski was another key player, putting up two points and 11 rebounds.

Licking Heights' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Newark Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Licking Heights will face off against Granville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Licking Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Granville likes a good challenge. As for Newark Catholic, they will challenge Lakewood at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Newark Catholic is facing Lakewood at the right time seeing as Lakewood is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
