Meanwhile, Geneva gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to Larkin for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-0 victory at home. The Vikings pushed the score to 56-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Royals had no chance of recovering from.
Geneva can attribute much of their success to Anthony Chahino, who threw for 163 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Finnegan Weppner was Chahino's top target, picking up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Geneva's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Danielski and Dane Turner.
