Basketball Recap: 1 of 1 Academy's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

1 of 1 Academy was the 67-61 winner over Bella Vista College Preparatory School when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The 1 of 1 Academy - took a 77-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bella Vista College Preparatory School Bears on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the - came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in North Carolina, while the Bears are ranked 67th in Arizona).

Despite the loss, 1 of 1 Academy still got an impressive performance from LJ Rush, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gevonte Ware, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, 1 of 1 Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
