Make it six blowout wins for the Pocono Mountain West Panthers this season. Everything went their way against Pocono Mountain East on Friday as Pocono Mountain West made off with a 74-52 win. Given Pocono Mountain West's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Cardinals are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Pocono Mountain East still got an impressive performance from Taemus Jones, who scored 32 points. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Pocono Mountain West has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Pocono Mountain East, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Pocono Mountain West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pocono Mountain East will head out on the road to face off against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East Stroudsburg North has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
