The Lexington Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 14-7 win over Boling on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Lexington was the (much) better team in the second half.
Kase Evans threw for 121 yards and a touchdown. Owen Rhodus was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Kaiden Chappel rushed for 77 yards on only seven carries.
Lexington is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Boling, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Lexington will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Odem at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Odem is on a four-game streak of home wins, Lexington a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Boling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
