The biggest upset of the week belonged to Victor, who took down 51st ranked Victor, 28-27.
Alec Mortillaro and Marquel Vazquez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Churchville-Chili. The longest such play in Section 5 Monroe Division III this season, the connection resulted in 59 yards.
Eastridge's dynamic duo of Mortillaro and Vazquez proved tough for the Saints to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mortillaro threw for 129 yards and one touchdown and Vazquez had 59 yards receiving. Jake Allen helped Eastridge's passing attack out by catching two balls for 31 yards.
Tommy Wagner was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 171 yards as the Blue Devils topped Churchville-Chili. Mike Wagner also contributed to the rushing game with 118 yards on the ground.
Victor's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patrick Metzger has thrown for 684 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Cash Bleier has 23 catches for 363 yards. Wagner leads the league in rushing with 1112 yards.
Eastridge's Mortillaro needs only 93 yards against McQuaid Jesuit next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 81 carries Mortillaro has accumulated 907 yard this year.
Canandaigua Academy moved up to 85 from 114 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 5 Monroe Division III. The Braves climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Victor 28-27.
