The Plumas Charter Warriors had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 84-49 win over Providence. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Plumas Charter has posted since December 5, 2023.
Plumas Charter found their leader in underclassman Dalton Bentz, who scored 30 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bentz has scored at least a third of Plumas Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Braden Harris, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Plumas Charter's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Providence, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plumas Charter will face off against Big Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence, they will head out on the road to challenge Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 580 points over their last eight games.
