The Tocoi Creek Toros will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tocoi Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Tocoi Creek was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Father Lopez on Thursday. The Toros put the hurt on the Green Wave with a sharp 10-3 win. The Toros haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Wyatt Faircloth looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Chase Pate was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Daniel Dyches also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Tocoi Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Father Lopez only managed three.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Richmond Hill. That's two games straight that the Conquerors have won by exactly five runs.
Brennan Bachtell Jr looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Chris Reali was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Parker Loew, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Tocoi Creek's record is now 4-1. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.
Tocoi Creek's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Toros have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Trinity Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Tocoi Creek continue to outrun the ball?
Tocoi Creek couldn't quite get it done against Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Toros avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
