Metamora was sadly handed a loss on Wednesday, but Stephen Petri did his best to prevent it. Petri was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
