Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hough walked away with it. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-7 win over the Palisades Pumas. The victory was just business as usual for the Huskies, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Hough was led to victory by Ethan Royal and Jamarion Morrison. Royal threw for 197 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, while Morrison rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Morrison a new career-high.
Several Pumas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Hough, who rushed for 85 yards and one score on only six carries.
Hough's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Palisades, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Looking ahead, Hough will be playing at home against West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 7.5, the Titans 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Palisades does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
