The Meadows School Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at home to the tune of 82-39. The Meadows School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
The Meadows School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Moses, who scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moses has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyrus Hutchison, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bradie Xaysana, who scored 11 points. Shane Stock was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
The win (which was The Meadows School's seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
The Meadows School will head out on the road to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Sports Leadership & Management is ranked 47th, while The Meadows School is ranked 21st). As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m.
