Waverly is 3-0 against the Saints since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Waverly Bulldogs are on the road again and plays the Classical Saints at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Waverly will be strutting in after a victory while the Saints will be coming in after a defeat.
Waverly scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over West Franklin.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Classical's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 48-27 loss at the hands of Clearwater. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Classical has scored all season.
Waverly's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Waverly beat the Saints 45-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waverly since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
