The Shelton Highclimbers were the 41-34 winner over the Aberdeen Bobcats when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Shelton fell 26-19 to Aberdeen on Friday.
Aberdeen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aidan Watkins led the charge by rushing for 192 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Springer, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Shelton's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Tumwater and 9-0 Montesano (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 80.6% over those games). As for Aberdeen, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Aberdeen also has no future games currently scheduled.
