West is 0-10 against South since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West Cowboys will head out on the road to take on the South Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. West is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
West pushed their score all the way to 56 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 61-56 defeat to they. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly five points.
Meanwhile, South scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Independence on the road to the tune of 90-60. With South ahead 50-27 at the half, the game was all but over already.
South can attribute much of their success to Chris Stokes, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stokes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zakhi Davison, who scored 12 points.
West's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for South, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
West came up short against South in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 81-71. Can West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
