Basketball Recap: Carrollwood Day Finds Playoff Glory Versus Seffner Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Carrollwood Day had no problem doing just that on Monday. They snuck past the Seffner Christian Crusaders with a 58-52 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 94-69 last Thursday.

Carrollwood Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayaan Bhadouria, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Bhadouria has posted since back in December of 2023. Moses Allen was another key player, putting up 18 points and eight boards.

Carrollwood Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Seffner Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Vernon Lee Jr, who went 9 for 20 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Arcadian Davis, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Carrollwood Day is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Seffner Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.

Carrollwood Day will take on Sports Leadership & Management at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carrollwood Day is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. Seffner Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
